Heavy-Duty Mechanic

KPA Oilfield Services has been in business since 2004. KPA is located in Northern BC in the community of Chetwynd. Our company offers gravel, limestone and rip rap, sales, and delivery, as well as a full line of heavy equipment including crushing equipment, graders, dozers, excavators, and various trucks. We are currently looking for a reliable, hardworking Mechanic to join our team and assist in maintaining our companies’ trucks and equipment.

Duties Include:

• Preventative Maintenance

• Truck and trailer repairs

• Heavy duty equipment service and repair

• Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area

• Other duties as required

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Daily maintenance

• Diagnose equipment problems

• Preventative maintenance

• Work with management to maintain schedules and priorities

• Follow procedures and guideline

• Complete all documentation associated with equipment repairs

• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment

• Attend company training and safety programs as required

Required experience: 2 years

Required license or certificate: Class 5 drivers license

Relocation assistance offered

Knowledge and Skills Required:

• Journeyman Certification preferred, but not required

• 2-5 years related experience desired.

• First year Apprenticeship completed.

• Valid drivers license

• Exposure to working on diesel engines

• Basic problem solving and troubleshooting skills

• Ability to read and understand parts and services manuals in English

• General Knowledge of truck software and computer diagnostics

• Health and Safety Knowledge—OH&S rules and regulations guidelines
