Obair Economic Society (OES) is seeking applicants to fill the Recycling Auditors Team Supervisor role at our Dawson Creek office!

As a Recycling Bin Auditor Team Supervisor, you will lead a team of recycling bin auditors in our organization's efforts to promote environmental sustainability and waste reduction. You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the auditing team, ensuring compliance with recycling guidelines, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This position requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to environmental conservation.


Team Leadership: Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to a team of recycling bin auditors. Assign tasks, set performance expectations, and ensure adherence to established protocols and procedures. Foster positive relationships and promote teamwork and cooperation across departments andorganizations. Training and Development: Conduct training sessions for new team members to familiarize them with recycling guidelines, auditing techniques, and reporting procedures. Provide ongoing coaching and support to enhance team performance and skills development. Always Ensure compliance with WorkSafe BC procedures. Auditing Oversight and Reporting: Supervise and coordinate recycling bin audits conducted by the team. Ensure accuracy and consistency in audit data collection and reporting. Public Relations: Maintain positive and harmonious relationships with all members of the public Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains in recycling bin auditing operations. Implement best practices, tools, and technologies to streamline workflows and enhance productivity. Bin Auditing: Tagging and turning recycle carts and informing waste management that a cart has been turned to prevent collection. Provide detailed collection information to staff. Record sample and sorting related data. Ensure that working areas and equipment are kept clean and in proper condition. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience

Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders and resolve conflicts diplomatically.
Proficiency in meeting reporting requirements, with experience using spreadsheet software.
Commitment to environmental sustainability and passion for promoting recycling initiatives preferred.
Demonstrated leadership experience in a supervisory or managerial role preferred.
Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting and moving recycling bins as needed.
Driver’s license and vehicle required, ability to transport Recycling Auditors on the routes.

Skills and Abillities

Additional Information:
This position may require occasional travel to different locations for site visits, meetings, or training sessions.
Flexible working hours may be necessary to accommodate peak auditing times and scheduling constraints.
Training and support will be provided to ensure that the successful candidate is equipped with the knowledge and skills required to fulfill the role effectively.
