Job description

The Human Resources Coordinator contributes to the growth and success of our organization by being aliaison between employees and management, being a direct point of contact for the workforce andfostering a positive working experience with Aski. In this role you will coordinate recruitment efforts,oversee employee onboarding and offboarding, perform benefits and pension administration tasks, aswell as a variety of other administrative tasks. You will also represent Aski at recruitment events, careerfairs, and community outreach initiatives

Qualifications and Experience

Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field considered an asset

2 years of experience in a similar role coordinating personnel and dealing with files

Solid understanding of recruitment processes, employment legislation, and HR best practices.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy when handling sensitive employee matters.

Skills and Abillities

Recruitment Support:

Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and assist in the development of job descriptions.

Prepare and post job openings on various online platforms and social media channels.

Screen applications, conduct initial candidate assessments, and coordinate interview schedules.

Develop consistent interview questions for the respective roles.

Attend interviews, asking relevant questions to evaluate candidate suitability.

Perform reference checks on potential candidates.

Draft offer letters for management approval.

Manage and update social media platforms regarding Aski job postings and ongoing activities for outreach and attraction

Employee Onboarding/Offboarding:

Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring a seamless transition into the organization.

Conduct new hire orientations, providing information on company policies, benefits, pension, and culture.

Create and maintain new employee personnel files, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

Enroll employees in the company benefits and pension plan.

Notify Payroll when ROEs need to be issued or employees need to be re-instated post leave.

Event Participation and Administration:

Represent Aski Reclamation LP at recruitment events, career fairs, and community outreach initiatives.

Build and maintain relationships with educational institutions, community organizations, and other relevant stakeholders.

Remind managers of approaching key dates such as the end of a probationary review period, employee’s anniversary date, and ensures the respective manager has the necessary paperwork readily available for these employee milestones.

Create, update and review job descriptions.

Update and organize employee records, including contact information, job history, and performance evaluations.

Manage documentation related to employee policies, procedures, and handbooks.

Support in coordinating employee appreciation events.

Hours & Schedule

30-40 hours weekly.
